Back-To-School Vaccination Requirements in Vietnam

International schools in Vietnam require students to have received standard vaccines before they can be admitted to study.

Every school has its own form that must be signed by a doctor and presented along with the student’s registration papers.

This is done not only to protect the student him or herself, but also to provide a group immunity effect (“herd immunity”) for the whole school.

While we follow the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) vaccination schedule at our clinic, it’s important to note that each country follows a slightly different program depending on local threat levels for each disease, so there is a chance that your child may not have received all the shots required in Vietnam. Check with your school when you enroll, and seek the advice of your doctor to see if any additional shots may be necessary upon arrival.
